Connor McDavid Wears A Suit That Rivals Don Cherry's Wardrobe

This Don Cherry-Like Suit Doesn't Belong To Don Cherry

There's no doubt that Don Cherry has an enviable suit collection but a top NHL prospect may be starting a rival wardrobe of his own.

Erie Otters player Connor McDavid had the honour of wearing the team's Super Player of the Game suit on Saturday after the Ontario Hockey League team won their home opener against the Sarnia Sting.

The Otters posted pics of Connor's cool comic-book inspired suit on their Twitter page:

Doing a Don Cherry thumbs up impression, the hockey player stood out in the colourful three-piece suit that included popular comic book words such as "POW" and "ZAP," which would totally make Batman proud.

Otters head coach Kris Knoblauch told the Erie Times-News that he was looking for a suit that would "stand out."

“We wanted something loud, something that would draw attention,” Knoblauch said. Mission accomplished!

Do you think Connor's suit rivals Don Cherry's famous ensembles?
