"Into India" takes viewers into the world of Indian painting. It shows seven hundred years of history and artistic creation, from the 12th to the 19th centuries, through a hundred works from the Edwin Binney Collection at the San Diego Museum of Art.
The art is inspired by Persian culture and its heroes and also features detailed illustrations of the native flora and fauna.
To celebrate the exhibit, the museum is hosting a range of Indian-inspired activities, including yoga, classical Indian dance and a film festival.
The exhibition is running Oct. 9 to Jan. 18.
