The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may be heading to The Big Apple.

According to People Magazine, Prince William is planning to make an official visit to New York in the next couple of months and Catherine (or Kate Middleton, as we like to call her around here), could possibly join him.

Although no plans have been set for the Duchess to attend the trip, reports say the palace isn't ruling out the idea.

In the last couple of weeks, Kate has cancelled several appearances and events, including her solo trip to Malta, as she continued to suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum — an extreme type of morning sickness — after announcing her pregnancy.

People adds the palace has not confirmed Prince William's agenda in New York, but chances are it will include events or appearances related to one of his many causes, such as young people and conservation. A spokesperson from the palace says confirmation of the trip will follow if and when engagements have been settled.

And although we love the thought of Will and Kate hitting Times Square, enjoying a cronut and even waving to their fans from one of New York's many architectural delights, we can only hope this North American trip expands to Canada in the near future.
