Doug Houda gets stitches after getting hit with puck

They say hockey players are some of the toughest athletes in sports.

That should also extend to coaches and their assistants.

During the second period of a game between Boston and the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, Bruins assistant coach Doug Houda was struck in the head with a puck.

Houda smiled as he walked into the dressing room while holding a towel to his head.

The former NHL player then returned minutes later sporting a few stitches.
