Grandmother's Last Request To See The Ocean Equals Pure Joy

This Beautiful Photo Will Also Make Your Heart Break

If you had a chance to grant your grandmother's last request, wouldn't you take it?

Reddit user Ecost posted a photograph on the user-submitted content site yesterday with the caption, "My grandma wanted to see the ocean one last time before checking into hospice. Her face says it all."

The user goes on in the comments to explain that he's her grandson and they were in Laguna Beach. He also explains that he decided not to Photoshop the catheter out of the shot because he didn't want to "paint over that bittersweet reality."

After noting his parents may want the picture without the bag, users on the site demonstrated their kindness (as they have in the past) by taking it into their own hands to touch up the picture slightly.

No matter the version, there's no denying the pure joy on this grandmother's face as she experiences the majesty of the ocean, is a reminder for all of us how simple it can be to find beauty in the everyday.
