FREDERICTON - NB Liquor says it will ban public fundraising at its stores at the end of June next year.

Spokeswoman Marcelle Saulnier says the Crown corporation decided to prohibit it after hearing from customers.

The company says the Royal Canadian Legion poppy campaign will not be affected.

Saulnier says NB Liquor will also continue to support provincial charitable organizations in other ways.
