You may have noticed your skin having tantrums with the change of seasons and flip-flopping temperatures. Along with switching gears from tank tops to knits, your beauty products for the fall and winter season should also transition.

As it gets colder and dryer, skin and hair crave more moisture, meaning your spring/summer lotions and hair products aren't going to cut it. And don't forget that your makeup should also change with the season: think rich, earthy tones and jewel hues.

If you haven’t already done a beauty overhaul to match the current season, we can assure you, you’ll need the following beauty products to get you through the next nine-ish months. Let's pray for less though.

Beauty Products To Get You Through The Fall/Winter Season

The cold weather and harsh winds that come with fall and winter will leave your hair dry, stringy and generally tragic. Consider purchasing an ultra moisturizing hair treatment like our personal favourite from Moroccanoil®. This phenomenal product will protect and restore your hair to its summer glory.

Don’t think for a minute you can go through fall ignoring pumpkins. As mentioned above, your skin needs some extra TLC when the temperature dips and by that we mean moisture, moisture, moisture. There’s no better way to pamper your epidermis than with a pumpkin spiced enzyme-enriched face mask.

There’s something glamourous about fall, right? To reflect that glamour, it’s appropriate that your fresh-faced no-makeup makeup look for summer transitions into something dramatic. A smoky eye care of Too Faced Smokey Eye Shadow Collection will give you that perfect seductive stare.

Essie’s Rich Dark Chocolate polish comes from their fall 2014 collection. The deep mahogany shade will be a welcome change for cooler weather.

Smell like a spicy fall beverage because there’s really, there's nothing more comforting than the scent of nutmeg and ginger. Jo Malone has created a scent that evokes all things associated with pumpkin pie, cozy blankets, fireplaces and generally everything we love about fall.

As the name suggests, this product is seriously moisturizing for your poor dehydrated skin. Not only will you smell like mom’s apple pie, your skin will be restored with the help of conditioning milk proteins, rice bran oil and acai berry extract.

Fall is the perfect time to unearth statement lipsticks in deep rich colours. If you rocked a lot of red last fall, try a rich purple this season like Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Aubergine.

Your lips will get flaky, chapped and, to put it bluntly, totally not kissable. That’s why it might be a good idea to keep them smoochable with a great lip exfoliator. Fresh’s Sugar Lip Polish buffs away the flakes and simultaneously adds moisture with the help of shea butter and jojoba oil.

Your face is likely the most over-exposed part of your body. For obvious reasons, you should be taking good care of it, especially during harsher climates. B.Kamins makes a maple-scented facial cream that will more than shield the delicate skin on your face from the elements. And it’s maple—you can’t get more fall appropriate than that.

Once you buff off any dry flakes on your lips, prevent it from happening again by keeping moisture rich lip balm handy. We love TokyoMilk’s salted caramel lip balm for its effectiveness and yummy flavour.
