The District of North Vancouver Fire Rescue is involved in a technical rescue after a woman jumped into Lynn Creek to save her dog.

Assistant Fire Chief Jim Bonneville says the woman was swept downstream, but managed to make it to a beach on the east side of the creek.

Her dog is with her, but another dog is trapped on a ledge. Firefighters are on the cliff above attempting a high angle rescue of the woman and both dogs.
