Two people are in hospital with injuries after the driver of a cube truck lost control and crashed into the parking lot of an Esso gas station in Westmount.

Montreal police said the collision happened at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Sherbrooke Street and Grosvenor Avenue.

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the driver to lose control and crash into three parked cars.

A part of the building was also damaged.

The area was closed to traffic for a few hours as police investigated.
