We've all heard of snakes on a plane, but what about a snake in a car?
Ray Khan discovered a four-foot-long ball python Monday morning after getting into his newly purchased used Volvo S60, reported CTV News.
Khan tried to lure the reptile out of the car using a stick but it was uncooperative, he told the outlet. Eventually he and his wife called the dealership, Jim Pattison Volvo in North Vancouver, which contacted Mike Hopcraft, owner of Abbotsford's The Reptile Guy.
“The dealership was very helpful in arranging for assistance in getting the snake out," Khan wrote in the comments section of the CTV story, adding that they were offered a free detailing for their troubles.
Hopcraft worked his magic and was able to shed the car of its proverbial — and literal — scales.
"Brought the car back to my facility and threw a space heater in it to get it nice and warm for a few hours then put a bin of three rats on the front seat," he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday. "Came out within half an hour! For those who don't know, it is a harmless little ball python."
Hopcraft posted a video of the capture to YouTube on Monday.
"There he is," Hopcraft says in the clip as he pulls the animal out. "One less snake in a car."
