Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating after they say a man in a Batman mask attempted to rob an armoured vehicle with a firearm on Thursday night.

At around 11:22 p.m., an armoured vehicle was making a delivery at the Royal Bank, located at 790 Sackville Dr. in Lower Sackville.

Police say the guards were in the process of unloading the inventory when they were approached by a man, armed with a firearm. The guards "reacted" to the suspect, said police, causing him to flee in a dark-coloured minivan parked nearby.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as white and in his 20s, wearing a Batman mask, a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they're asked to contact police at 902-490-5080 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
