Amanda Gulliver dies in northwestern Ontario highway accident

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the victim of Sunday's collision on Highway 17 in northwestern Ontario as a 32-year-old woman originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Police said in a news release from the Dryden detachment Monday that Amanda Gulliver had recently been living in Kitimat, British Columbia.

Gulliver was driving a passenger vehicle that left the roadway and struck a rock cut early Sunday morning, about five kilometres west of Vermilion Bay. 

A passenger in the vehicle, a 32-year-old New Brunswick man, suffered serious injuries.
