TTC union weigh in on SmartTrack this morning

The union representing Toronto's 10,000 transit workers will release a report this morning that is expected to outline ways to improve the city's transit system. It's expected the report will also weigh in on mayor-elect John Tory's SmartTrack plan.

The ATU report will have 68 recommendations, including:

- More city money to fund the overburdened transit system.

- More buses.

- More bus shelters.

- The introduction of two-hour timed passes.

ATU president Bob Kinnear will release the report, called Toronto's Transit Future, at 11 a.m. at city hall. will publish details of the report shortly after its release.
