CALGARY - Calgary police are asking the public for help following a violent sexual assault this past weekend.

On Saturday night, a man found an injured woman in the bushes near the Bridgeland LRT along Memorial Drive.

She was taken to hospital with critical life-threatening injuries, where she was in critical condition on Tuesday.

Investigators say the 30-year-old woman was also the victim of a sexual assault.

They’re asking anyone who may have been in the area between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday night, and who may have witnessed any suspicious activity to call police or Crime Stoppers.

They’re also asking people who may have been near the Langevin Bridge, along the nearby pathway system, or towards the Calgary Zoo, to call.
