Leafs, Senators fans brawl in stands

The Battle of Ontario spilled into the stands on Sunday night when Leafs and Senators fans brawled during the teams' game in Ottawa.

A nearby fan who wasn't involved in the fight captured it on video.

It appears a member of the security staff is trying to separate two fans — one in a Leafs sweater, the other in a Senators — who are jawing at each other. The situation escalates quickly after a third fan, wearing a Leafs jersey, pours beer on the Senators fan, who then grabs the Leafs fan he was originally arguing with and sends them both tumbling down the aisle.

(Warning: The following video contains coarse language and, of course, violence.)

The guys on the ice were considerably less combative that day. Before the game, which had been rescheduled because of the shooting that killed Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, the teams gathered at the National War Memorial to pay their respects to fallen soldiers ahead of Remembrance Day.

By the time the game ended in a 5-3 Toronto win, not a single fighting or roughing penalty was issued.
