Police reviewing witness statements in Collins Kwarteng killing

A post-mortem examination will take place Wednesday on a young man shot dead in a suburban neighbourhood in Brampton on Monday night.

Peel Regional Police responded to a report of shots being fired on Yellow Avens Boulevard at about 10 p.m. Monday.

At the scene, they found two victims, who were brothers.

One brother died at the scene, while the other sustained minor injuries in the shooting.

Police have since identified Collins Kwarteng, 22, as the victim who was killed.

His 20-year-old brother is the man who survived the shooting. Police say he has since been released from hospital.

To date, police have not released descriptions of any suspects in the shooting.

Police say investigators will be reviewing witness statements on Wednesday.
