"There's been lots of challenges dealing with affordability, more density and development," Robertson told CBC Vancouver host Andrew Chang on Monday.
"I want to change and make sure that the process by which we make these tough decisions is more inclusive and people feel heard."
Robertson was re-elected to Vancouver's top job on Saturday after receiving 46 per cent of the total ballots cast, which amounted to 10,000 more than leading opponent Kirk LaPointe, who took 40 per cent of the vote.
