Ever since that Kimye Vogue issue came out, Anna Wintour can't do an interview without talking about the controversy that ensued.

Luckily for us, the editrix isn't afraid to discuss the ruccus the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West Vogue caused.

On Monday, the Vogue editor-in-chief talked about the famous issue in a conversation series at the Met in New York with former CNN journalist Alina Cho and while doing so, threw in some subtle shade towards #theworldsmosttalkedaboutcouple.

"The first celebrity that I put on the cover of Vogue was Madonna, and that was considered completely controversial at that time, too," she said, according to Fashionista.com. "Now she's part of the establishment. I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine! Nobody would talk about us." She added, "It's very important that people do talk about us."

Hold up. Did Anna Wintour just suggest that Kim and Kanye aren't tasteful? Oh no she didn't!

Anna didn't stop there ('cause why would she? She's Anna freaking Wintour). She offered up her wise thoughts about Kim's younger sis Kendall Jenner landing an Estee Lauder beauty contract.

"What a fantastic decision that was!," Wintour said about Estee Lauder choosing Kendall to be their new face. "They have a wonderful brand that’s very traditionally American, and they decided they want to shake it up and reach a different audience. Now and again one has to do things like that. I think it’s part of the excitement and part of being a journalist. I hope another Kim Kardashian comes along this year!"

Judging by all the Kimye Vogue issues that sold, we can't blame her!
