Buffalo Snow Forces Bills To Take Snowmobiles Partway To Detroit (VIDEO, TWEETS)

Buffalo Bills Take Drastic Measures To Flee The City

The Buffalo Bills can't play at home right now, because this.

But instead of cancelling this week's game against the New York Jets, they'll play Monday at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions.

And to escape their homes, they did this.

As Sports Illustrated reported Friday, 85 per cent of the Bills players live in areas that have been hit with as much as seven feet of snow this week.

Players were thus picked up on snowmobiles, taken to Ralph Wilson Stadium and then whisked off to the airport so they could fly to Detroit.

The snow, which has come due to conditions associated with the "lake effect," has been blamed in the deaths of 13 people, including two seniors who died during an evacuation from a nursing home, NBC News reported Friday.

Once in Detroit, Bills players paid tribute to people who are helping out amid the snowstorm.
