HuffPost Canada Living's Arti Patel won gold alongside silver wins from Parentdish Canada and AOL Canada the 2014 edition of the Canadian Online Publishing Awards Thursday.

Patel, the associate editor of Living, won top honours for best article or series in the red (consumer) category for her feature Breaking Taboos: When South Asian Women Choose Divorce, which explores the cultural and emotional challenges faced by Canadian South Asian women when their marriages dissolve.

This is the second COPA win for Patel and HuffPost's Living section -- in 2013, Patel and Living editor Rebecca Zamon won silver for their feature on millennials and marriage.

AOL Canada's parenting site Parentdish Canada scored its first COPA just 15 months into its existence. The site won silver for best website design, calling out the quality work done by editor Kristy Woudstra, associate editor Isabelle Khoo, senior designer Slavko Eror and development lead Bob Perez. AOL Canada owns HuffPost Canada.

And AOL Canada also received a silver nod for best media website, green (news) category. AOL Canada represents the AOL.ca portal and all its associated brands, including The Huffington Post Canada, Autoblog Canada, Moviefone Canada, Parentdish.ca, Kitchen Daily Canada and StyleList.ca. AOL.ca's Amy Gibson, Dawn Cuthbertson and AOL Canada managing editor Kenny Yum were acknowledged in this award.

HuffPost Canada was also nominated for best social media for its coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics, for best article or feature in the news category for Ryan Maloney's feature on Canada's treatment of injured war veterans, and for best blog or column for HuffPost Canada.
