Three police forces north of Toronto are investigating after several reports of a man licking womens' feet and stealing their shoes.

UPDATE: Police arrested a man Nov. 27 in connection with the alleged incidents, according to the Canadian Press. Mattieu Petrin, 28, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault, three counts of theft under $5,000, sexual interference with a person under 16 and robbery.

Barrie police say the man entered a local tanning salon on Nov. 20 and spoke to a woman who worked there. He mentioned her footwear, then fell to his hands and knees, took her leg and began licking her foot, the Barrie Examiner reports.

A similar incident was reported the same day at a tanning salon in Richmond Hill, involving a man matching the same description, and a shoe theft at a nearby salon the day before, according to a release from York Regional Police.

CTV reports the same man is also suspected in a sexual assault involving a woman in Alcona, near Barrie, on Nov. 19.

The man is described as white, about 30 years old, 170 lbs, 5'8", with short reddish-brown hair and a neat beard. He was seen wearing a black jacket, black dress pants and brown leather boots with brown laces.
