Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still has been accused of failing to pay child support for his cancer-stricken daughter Leah, according to the New York Daily News.

Channing Smythe, Leah's mother, said Still has not paid child support in four months.

"I don’t consider him a deadbeat dad,” Smythe told the Daily News on Wednesday. “I know he loves and cares for his daughter and he is there for her. I just need him to help me financially.”

Smythe is represented by civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the NFL on Tuesday asking the league to investigate whether Still has violated its Personal Conduct Policy by failing to pay child support for his four-year-old daughter, the Daily News reports.

Still has denied the allegations, calling them “untruthful."

Still has been the feel-good story of the NFL since training camp after revealing his daughter was battling cancer. Leah was honoured on the field at Paul Brown Stadium during the team’s 24-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 6.
