Feathers are the perfect detail to make a simple LBD holiday party worthy and you don't even have to accessorize 'cause the fun embellishment does all the talking you need.

This embroidered lace dress by Marchesa is the perfect frock if you intend to make a statement at your next holiday party. The designer dress features a scalloped hem, long sleeves and a rounded neckline which gives it a charming vintage appeal.

A plain old sequin dress just won’t do, but this long sleeved frock with a hexagon pattern and loose fit offers a modern take on a holiday favourite. We would even venture to say it could be dressed down with a pair of tights and motorcycle boots for a more casual affair.

We have always been a proponent of winter white and this sheer, beaded number is the perfect dress to get all dolled up in. The stretch knit material will be especially appropriate after you indulge in a few too many holiday treats.

Summer is all about lightness and ease while fall and winter are all about glamour, texture and luxurious fabrics. Is there anything that exudes these qualities more than an epic tuxedo dress by Givenchy? We think not.

If you’re ever in doubt, a classic silhouette will never steer you too far off the beaten holiday dress path. This iridescent strapless dress hits just below the knee for a sleek sophisticated look.

Fringe is in and that goes for the holidays too. Despite the cold temperatures, this beaded fringe dress by Mango is the ideal cool weather cocktail dress. Throw on a cream coloured oversized coat and you’re all set for a night out.

For a black tie cocktail party, a long dramatic gown is the only way to go. This sleek Ted Baker maxi features gathered long sleeves and waist details to showcase your gorgeous body.

DVF’s signature wrap dress has gone glamorous. The tried and true silhouette in combination with the dramatic shimmering gold colour make it perfect for your next cocktail party.

If you’re leaning towards black, white or metallic for the holidays, you might reconsider when you see this bright blue lace dress from REISS London. It gives you the excuse to say you've got a case of the winter blues!
