Longueuil police allege Samuel Tremblay-Chapdelaine would steal from after arriving at clients' homes to sign snow-removal contracts.

Const. Mark David said the snow removal and landscaping company, QualitéDéneigement et Paysagement, had been advertising in the city since October.

He said the thefts allegedly happened when the company's owner went to the homes of potential clients to sign a contract.

"Often the man would ask to go to the washroom and he would take quite a while," said David. "When he would leave the house, people would notice there were objects missing."

David said in one case, jewellery was missing from the bedroom.

Police arrested the 25-year-old owner of the company on Tuesday.

David said two victims have come forward and he believes there could be more.

He says anyone who believes they were a victim should call police.
