The first major storm of the winter left many Maritimers feeling down, but not Méo.

The golden retriever in Moncton was happily jumping and frolicking on Thursday, trying to catch globs of snow coming from his owner's snowblower.

"I think my dog likes the snow more than the kids," said Marc Richard.

"He loves to catch the snow, either the snowblower, the shovel. He loves the snow," he said.

Moncton received about 20 cm of snow overnight Wednesday and another 10 cm Thursday morning.

By Thursday afternoon, many area residents were still busy digging out.
