NDG Food Depot and CBC Do Crew need you to help feed the community

Around the holidays, there is always a big push to help those in need.

Thankfully, there are also groups who work to help those same people all year round.

The NDG Food Depot is one such group. It provides emergency food baskets that help as many as 800 people a week in our community.

It also operates a community kitchen, which gives people a place to gather and learn how to eat healthy on a tight budget.

Those are just a couple of the services offered by the organization, whose mission is to provide "good food for all."

This year CBC's annual Sing-In Charity Drive will benefit the NDG Food Depot.

That means we'll be collecting for them at our Annual CBC Christmas Sing-In on Dec. 7.

We'll also collect donations and non-perishable items during our full day of live radio and television broadcast happening on Friday Dec. 5th at the NDG Food Depot (2146 Marlowe Ave.).
