A second person has been charged in relation to the shooting of a Kamloops RCMP officer this week.

Marquee Jasmin Klim, 28, is facing a single charge of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

KIim is one of three women arrested in connection with the shooting of Cpl. Jean Rene Michaud. The other two women have yet to be charged.

Kenneth Michael Knutson, 36, is already  facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and two weapons charges in relation to the shooting early Wednesday morning.

He was arrested after a Kamloops RCMP officer was shot during the early hours of Dec. 3, sparking a 12-hour manhunt.

Knutson is a serial offender with multiple convictions for violent crimes and weapons offences. He has a bail hearing scheduled for Dec. 18.

Meanwhile RCMP say Cpl. Michaud underwent a second surgery last night and is recovering in the intensive care ward at Royal Inland Hospital.

Police say there has been an outpouring of support for the fallen officer from people in Kamloops.
