Our vaginas can often seem like unknown worlds to us, and once you start reading facts about them, you soon realize there's only a lot more to learn.

The infographic below, posted on IFL Science! and making the rounds on Facebook, was created by HB Health of Knightsbridge, a healthcare and cosmetics clinic based in London. The graphic highlights facts about the vagina's self-cleaning methods, its nerve endings and even how female genitals respond during sex.

A healthy vagina naturally has acid and has other beneficial bacteria that fight off infections while keeping a healthy pH level, according to Everyday Health. And while all vaginas are different, normal vaginas release small amounts of discharge.

To keep a healthy (and happy) vagina, experts recommend watching for discharge changes, washing it thoroughly daily and always wiping front to back.
