Once we stop obsessing over a pregnant celebrity's forthcoming child, we move on to more important matters: maternity style.
We often find that pregnant celebs elevate their style game (hello, Duchess of Cambridge!), finding creative and stylish ways to showcase or conceal their bumps.
2014 was no exception with a few new and repeat celebrity moms dressing their bumps to the nines. Here’s a little recap of the best in pregnancy style this past year.

Celebrity Maternity Style 2014
Mila Kunis
Aside from her glamorous red carpet appearances, Mila Kunis is known for her laid back style. She’s all about comfort and her pregnancy style reflected that. Kunis utilized a lot of maxi dresses and her penchant for bohemian style to dress her bump. The "Black Swan" actress gave birth to her first child with Ashton Kutcher on Oct. 1.
Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes was pregnant? Could’ve fooled us. The actress concealed her baby bump mainly by not making public appearances. However, she was seen early in her pregnancy wearing dresses that expertly concealed her bump. Busy patterns and A-line styles that skimmed over her stomach made it really hard for any kind of confirmation. The actress, who's dating Ryan Gosling, gave birth to daughter Esmeralda Amada in September.
Blake Lively
The former "Gossip Girl" star has always been a force on the red carpet so we didn’t expect anything less than a fashion spectacle once she announced her pregnancy. Instead of hiding her bump under loose dresses, Lively has chosen to opt for the opposite, sporting body hugging floor length dresses that accentuate her bump.
Off the red carpet, Blake has sported a number of print heavy blanket coats that distract from her bump, which we also love. The actress is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds.
Shakira
The Colombian singer announced she was pregnant in 2014 and maintained her stylish reputation throughout, even wearing a sheer top and spiked heels to an event several months into her pregnancy. The "Hips Don't Like" songstress is expecting her second child with partner Gerard Piqué.
Scarlett Johansson
Ryan Reynolds' wife wasn't the only pregnant gal this year! The Canadian actor's ex-wife, Scarlett Johansson gave birth in 2014. The sultry "Lucy" star is known to embrace her curves with figure hugging dresses and her maternity style didn’t disappoint.
On the red carpet, ScarJo was seen in a tight fire engine red dress that showcased her tiny baby bump while another premiere saw her in a tailored red suit with a loose black top that concealed any hint of it. The blond bombshell, who's married to French journalist Romain Dauriac, welcomed her first child—a girl named Rose—in September.
Rachel Bilson
Rachel Bilson’s maternity style could be described as polished bohemian. Her everyday look has always been casual and comfortable with a generous amount of boho flavor. The "Hart of Dixie" star spent her pregnancy in a variety of stylish bohemian-inspired print dresses that disguised her bump well. Rachel, who's dating Canadian actor Hayden Christensen, gave birth to the couple's first child—a girl named Briar Rose—in October.
Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana was an inspiration to moms-to-be everywhere by making maternity style high fashion. Saldana was snapped in everything from a stunning DVF animal print wrap dress that drew attention away from her belly to a slick white Calvin Klein dress that hugged her bump. The 38-year-old "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress is expecting twin boys with husband Marco Perego.
Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second prince or princess but her bump hasn’t made itself quite obvious yet. Catherine has been happily styling her tiny bump in her usual manner, mixing high and low fashion and of course, repeating outfits. Kate and Prince William are expecting their second child in April, 2015.
Rosamund Pike
The "Gone Girl" star is another celebrity who nailed maternity style. Always elegant, the 35-year-old British actress never sacrificed style while pregnant. (Who else could pull off this nude on nude ensemble while pregnant with such panache?)
At the "Gone Girl" world premiere, Pike went the classic route and wore an all black Altuzarra skirt and top that concealed her baby bump; thus proving that red carpet maternity style doesn't have to be frumpy. The actress welcomed her second child—a boy—in December.
Kristen Bell
For her second baby bump, Kristen Bell pretty much wore whatever made her happy. The "Frozen" star rocked a body hugging black DSquared2 dress at a red carpet premiere but went a little funkier at the Toronto International Film Festival in a printed jumpsuit. The 34-year-old actress is expecting her second child with husband Dax Shepard.
