Los Angeles police confirmed they have spoken with boxer Floyd Mayweather about the murder-suicide of his friends, Earl Hayes and wife Stephanie Moseley, who was from Vancouver.
Mayweather sat down for a two-hour interview with detectives, reported TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources.
According to the website, Mayweather was on FaceTime with Hayes, a rapper, on Monday morning and heard the violence unfold.
Detectives interviewed Mayweather on Wednesday, but they are not releasing any information, reports The Associated Press.
Police believe Hayes, 34, killed Moseley, 30, and then himself.
Moseley, a professional dancer and actress who appeared most recently on VH1's "Hit The Floor," grew up in the Lower Mainland, where her family still lives. The entertainment community both in Vancouver and the U.S. has expressed shock and grief over the news.
"She was this wide-eyed, beautiful girl," Moseley's former dance teacher Rachel Poirier said. "She was cautious and she never wanted to be the focus of the room — unless she was on stage."
