CHARLOTTETOWN - The minimum wage is set to increase in Prince Edward Island on July 1.

Labour Minister Janice Sherry says the wage will increase to $10.50 an hour.

That's a jump of 15 cents from the current minimum of $10.35.

The provincial government says the minimum wage ranges from $10 an hour in New Brunswick and the Northwest Territories to $11 in Ontario and Nunavut.

The last increase in the Island's minimum wage occurred in October.
