Niagara Regional Police have issued an update on two missing girls, saying they have been located and are safe. The children were found in Niagara Falls, police said in a news release Saturday morning.

Police had issued an Amber Alert for the girls, missing since late Friday afternoon.

The alert said the girls, ages 3 and 5, had been allegedly abducted by their mother, who doesn't have custody of the children.
