2 arrested after alleged knifepoint robbery in Toronto

Two people have been arrested after an alleged overnight knifepoint robbery in the Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue area.

According to Toronto police, the alleged incident occurred at 2:30 a.m.

Police say two male suspects robbed a man and a woman of personal property and fled the scene.

The victims called police and two suspects were arrested in short order. Police say the stolen property was recovered.

An adult male and a young male are due to appear in court on Sunday. Details were not immediately available on the charges they were facing.
