Two men have been rushed to hospital after a double stabbing in the east end.

Police were called to an apartment complex at 40 Firvalley Court, in the Warden and St. Clair avenues area, shortly after 5:02 a.m. by a woman who was "hysterical" on the phone.

Police said that during the night, a man and a woman went to another man's unit in the building. The two men got into a dispute and both ended up stabbed — one in the head and the other was slashed in the neck.

One man was rushed to St. Michael's trauma centre, as he was unresponsive when paramedics arrived. The other man was taken to a Scarborough hospital, though police could not specify where.

It is not yet clear who stabbed who, or what role the woman played in the incident, police said. The woman is currently being interviewed by investigators.

Police said there was "a lot of blood" in the hallway outside the apartment.
