We love a celebrity wedding, and 2014 offered some good ones. There was the big one, of course: the wedding of megastars Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, which included Instagram shots (the most popular one of 2014!) and multiple outfits and all the flash we’ve come to expect from those two.

But Kimye weren’t the only celebrity couple to get hitched this year. Many others tied the knot in ways that reflected who they are individually and in their relationships, from the family-centered wedding of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to the private pairing of Scarlett Johannson and Roman Dauriac.

And though the celebrations varied, from the multi-day extravaganza enjoyed by George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin to the quirky party for Solange Knowles and Alan Ferguson, we’re sure they were all happy ones.

Here are 11 of the celebrity weddings that wowed us this year — not because of the cake or the dress, but because they reflected the couples themselves.
