Santa Tracker 2014: How To Find Where Mr. Claus Is In The World

It's three days before Christmas: do you know where your Santa Claus is?

As the morning of Dec. 25 approaches all over the world, the moment Santa and his elves have been preparing for all year arrives. Luckily for us, we have a chance to see exactly where he's delivering presents at any given moment.

Ever since 1955, when an ad for a local Colorado Sears store mistakenly published NORAD's phone number as "Santa's personal number," the North American Aerospace Defense Command has run a "Santa tracker" to tell callers (and now, website visitors) where the man in red can be found.

Of course, the Internet being what it is, there's now competition for NORAD's Official Santa Tracker. For the past two years, Google has offered its own Santa Tracker, complete with custom messages that can be sent to friends, pictures of festive scenes in cities worldwide and plenty of geography-oriented games to help make the wait for Santa's arrival more interesting.

But if you'd prefer to speak to a real, live human person, you can't beat NORAD's phone line — you never know, it could be Michelle Obama picking up at the other end, telling you that Santa will be arriving in T-minus five hours.
