WINNIPEG - Two Manitoba cabinet ministers have new portfolios following the resignation of Steve Ashton as transportation minister.

Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshyn is now responsible for infrastructure and transportation, as well as emergency measures.

The government says Kostyshyn will remain minister of agriculture as well.

Dave Chomiak, who is minister of mineral resources, is now house leader.

Ashton resigned Monday to launch a leadership bid to become the province's next premier.
