Grayson was born at exactly midnight in a Mississauga hospital, Trillium Health Partners confirmed Thursday.
The 7-pound, 14-ounce Grayson was delivered after only 30 minutes of pushing, his 34-year-old mother — who did not wish have her name used — told CBC News.
He was due to arrive on January 6, but his mother went to hospital in the morning on New Year's Eve after she started having contractions.
As the first baby of 2015 in the GTA, Grayson received special letters from Bonnie Crombie, the mayor of Mississauga, and the CEO of the hospital and a basket of hand-knitted booties.
As for his mother, it's time for some rest. She's only slept one hour so far this year.
