To say 2014 was a rough year for the Alberta government would be an understatement.

It was a year plagued by spending scandals, resignations, and licence place debates. We saw three people take title of Premier, and watched one party leader abandon her supporters and caucus and cross the floor to the Conservatives.

We asked our Facebook and Twitter followers for their resolutions for the provincial government in 2015, and it's clear that Albertans haven't forgot the mistakes of 2014 and they want the government to do better.

Themes of transparency, diversification and fiscal prudence came out on top, while others wanted to see more help for students and better care for seniors.

"How about diversify the economy so we are not dependent on fossil fuels for our wealth?" suggested Erin Sharp Hickman.

Colette Gascon-Zahar said "all elected members that choose to cross the floor should do so with the blessing of their constituents even if it means by the way of a byelection."
