Lena Dunham Gets A Cool New Look For Elle Magazine

Lena Dunham Gets An Edgy New Makeover

New year, new makeover!

Lena Dunham covers Elle magazine's annual Women In TV issue rocking a cool edgy look that channels vintage Debbie Harry.

For the cover photo, the "Girls" star/creator sports a black Michael Stars off-the-shoulder t-shirt, a Tiffany & Co. heart necklace, glorious cat-eye makeup and a choppy platinum 'do.

The newsstand cover shows the "Not That Kind of Girl" author sporting a low-cut polka-dot Saint Laurent top underneath a chic leather jacket.

The inside photo shoot is just as cool, with Dunham looking gorgeous (and bad-ass) in figuring-hugging outfits that are sexy and chic.

In one pic, the 28-year-old poses in a chair wearing a Dolce & Gabbana LBD and Christian Louboutin heart pumps (because Valentine's Day). Another shot shows Lena rocking a red pencil skirt, a Rebel Rebel t-shirt and a leather jacket.

Even though she looks completely at ease in front of the camera, the Vogue cover girl admits to Elle that she's still not quite comfortable with the idea of celebrity.

"I realized early on that I was not going to be able to have a comfortable relationship with celebrity if I didn’t feel like I was using it to talk about things that were important to me," Lena tells Elle. "It was always going to make me feel gross, for lack of a better word. I was like, 'Oh, this attention is something I’m going to figure out how to use in a way that feels productive, healthy, and smart. And not just like as an excuse to collect handbags.' Although," she pauses, "I love handbags."
