Golden Globes 2015 Winners: 'Boyhood,' Amy Adams, 'Transparent' Among Winners

Golden Globes Winners 2015 (FULL LIST)

Tonight's Golden Globe Awards featured some major talent (see some of the best moments of the night), some cringeworthy moments (see Jeremy Renner's terrible joke), and some heartwarming sentiment (see Michael Keaton's teary speech).

Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" took home Best Motion Picture - Drama, and Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" won Best Musical or Comedy. Keaton was the favourite in his category for "Birdman," while Eddie Redmayne took home the prize for Best Actor in a Drama, beating out the ubiquitous Benedict Cumberbatch for "The Imitation Game" and David Oyelowo for his turn as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in "Selma."

Best actress nods went to Julianne Moore for her role as a professor with early-onset Alzheimer's in "Still Alice," and Amy Adams for her portrayal of American artist Margaret Keane in "Big Eyes."

Over on the TV side, newcomer "The Affair" won Best Drama and transgender show "Transparent" won Best Comedy (even though some might argue that it's not entirely a comedy). Gina Rodriguez gave a heartfelt acceptance speech for her Best Actress win for "Jane The Virgin," and Jeffrey Tambor thanked the trans community following his Best Actor win as the transitioning parent in "Transparent."

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler won lots of praise from the Twitterverse for their take-no-prisoners approach in their opening monologue, skewering everything from the controversial Sony film "The Interview," to Bill Cosby, to the night's Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award winner, George Clooney. As Meryl Streep put it at the end of the night, "I just want to say, how much are we going to miss Amy and Tina? My God.”
