Jin, 21, was last heard from on New Year's eve when he sent a text to his father to say he planned to go hiking.
After he was reported missing, police searched his computer and concluded he may have gone on a solo hike to the Hanes Valley on Dec. 31.
North Shore Rescue searched the valley with no results, until they were driven out by bad weather last week.
NSR spokesman Doug Pope says a team will attempt to fly in by helicopter this morning to resume the search.
"It's been warmer and the snow has melted, so we have less snow cover on areas. That will improve it for searching and make it safer for teams to move in that terrain," said Pope.
However, Pope notes they have no new information or clues about Jin's whereabouts. He also warns that nobody else should attempt to launch a search, because the area remains dangerous.
Last week, North Shore Rescue had to rescue two of Jin's friends from the area, after the pair launched their own search.
Jin is described as Asian, five-feet six-inches tall, with a slim build. Police say he may be carrying black Salomon brand backpack with white stripes on the straps.
Anyone who has seen Jin is asked to call 911 immediately.Suggest a correction
