Police seek suspect in elevator robbery

A woman was robbed as she stepped into an elevator in an apartment building near Hwy. 401 and Weston Road, and the Toronto police are appealing to the public to help identify suspects.

On Dec. 23, at around 7:40 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was approached by a woman in the elevator and told she was about to be robbed. The woman tried to get out of the elevator when she was swarmed by two men and another woman.

She was assaulted multiple times and robbed.

One man is of interest to police. He is described as approximately 18-22-years-old, six feet two inches, dark shaggy hair, with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a jacket with a large Montreal Canadiens emblem on the back.
