The collision happened at the intersection of 21st Street and Gordon Avenue shortly before 6:00 p.m. PT, about an hour after sunset.
The man was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries Sunday, said West Vancouver police in a statement.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drug impairment have been ruled out as factors in the collisions, said police.
