Police have released video in which two suspects are seen robbing an east-end Esso station with an assault rifle.

Investigators say two men entered the Esso near Kingston Road and Scarborough Golf Club Road at 10:35 p.m. on Dec. 21.

One stayed by the front door, pointing what appears to be an assault rifle at customers and employees, while the other removed cash and cigarettes from behind the counter.

The video — a series of still images which runs for 46 seconds — shows both men. The first suspect is seen by the doors, adjusting and pointing the gun around the room. The customers and employees are not visible.

The other suspect is seen from another camera rooting through the till.

Both men are described as black, thin, between 20 and 25 years old and between five-foot-five and five-foot-six.

The man with the gun was wearing black pants and a black hoodie. The other was wearing a dark coat with two white stripes around the waist and cuffs, and a bandana on his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7350, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
