Assault Rifle Aids Armed Robbery At Scarborough Gas Station

Armed Robber Carries Assault Rifle In Startling Toronto Police Video

The Toronto Police Service has released a startling video of a man carrying an assault rifle during an armed robbery in Scarborough from last month.

Video of the Dec. 21 incident shows a gunman wearing a black hood standing at the door to the convenience store at an Esso gas station near Kingston Road and Scarborough Golf Club Road.

He pointed the gun at staff and customers, demanded money, and robbed one person in the store, according to a Tuesday news release.

Meanwhile, a second man, wearing a hood and a bandana on his face, went behind the register and grabbed cigarettes and cash.

Police describe the suspects as thin black men between the ages of 20 and 25 years old, and as being 5'5" to 5'6" tall.

The gunman wore black pants and a black hoodie, while the second suspect wore a dark coat that had two white stripes near the cuffs and waist.
