Things are about to get sexy in here!

We're taking a moment to look back at some of the most stunning bombshells in Old Hollywood history. Now, one of our favourite parts about these women was the fact they totally owned their curves, and always appeared confident in their sexuality. And sure, they were technically still lean, but these women weren't ashamed to have a little extra meat on their bones. (Sophia Loren even credited spaghetti for her killer curves.)

Stars like Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and even Josephine Baker, with their hourglass figures, paved the way for contemporaries like Kate Upton, Salma Hayek, and Christina Hendricks, whose voluptuous figures add a little diversity to Hollywood's homogeneous landscape. (But that's not to say thin people aren't also gorgeous...we just like variety.)

And while you probably don't need further proof that these women are gorgeous, we're giving it to you anyways. You're welcome!

Mansfield's hourglass figure was sheer perfection. Dita Von Teese even claims she wanted curves like the actress after watching her in "The Girl Can't Help It."

Marilyn Monroe can definitely be considered one of Hollywood's first-ever bombshells, if not THE first. And it's no wonder, considering she (along with that stunning figure) was absolutely stunning.

Actress, singer, dancer, and activist Eartha Kitt is further proof that curves are beautiful.

Natalie Wood's svelte figure is definitely an enviable one.
  • Rita Hayworth

Hayworth has the body of a classic pin-up, and it's awesome.
  • Mae West

Mae West may have had the most perfect hourglass figure we're ever seen. Just look at it! So stunning!
  • Josephine Baker

Baker and her curvy bod took Europe by storm in the 1920s, and she went on to find success as an all-around entertainer. It's no wonder her comic-yet-sensual appeal was a hit -- just look at how beautiful she is!

An Old Hollywood siren if we ever did see one.
  • Barbara Nichols

Before Anna Nicole Smith and Kate Upton, there was Barbara Nichols -- a true bombshell who wasn't ashamed of flaunting her sexuality.
  • Cleo Moore

Cleo Moore may not have had major success in Hollywood, but her gorgeous looks and killer curves definitely left a lasting impression.
  • Jeanne Carmen

We'd kill to have curves like Carmen's!
  • Janet Leigh

That waist! Those hips! Just beautiful.
  • Ava Gardner

Ava Gardner's curves were a little on the slimmer side, but stunning nonetheless.
  • Dorothy Dandridge

We can't get over Dorothy Dandridge's shape in this dress -- the tiny waist and shapely hips make for such a stunning silhouette.
  • Anita Ekberg

    Well hello there, bombshell!
  • Elizabeth Taylor

Of course we had to include Elizabeth Taylor in this list. The violet-eyed actress surely made the most of her assets, often dressing in figure-hugging ensembles. If we had her body, we'd do the same thing!
