Officers say they've laid a "significant' number of charges since New Year's Day — more than 60 for people driving under the influence and another 50 for so-called stunt driving.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the force continues to run RIDE checks all through the year.
"We step up the awareness through the festive season but people need to be aware that we are doing it 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 12 months of the year," he said.
"If you see a suspected impaired driver or you see an aggressive or dangerous driver call 911."
Schmidt says so far this year, two people have died in alcohol-related crashes on the province's highways, compared to none during the same time period in 2014.
