A coroner has ruled that her death last Wednesday was directly linked to injuries sustained in her shooting.
Leduc was shot directly in the neck while working at an SAQ liquor store in Baie-D'Urfé, leaving her paralyzed from the neck down.
More than a year after the shooting, three suspects were arrested, but no one was ever formally charged because police did not have enough evidence to proceed.
Sun Youth put up a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
Montreal police say that reward still stands.
Because Leduc's death has been ruled a homicide, anyone arrested in the connection with the events could now face murder or manslaughter charges.
