RCMP say the suspect is believed to have committed eight robberies since Dec. 1, 2014.
In each incident, the suspect either produced or mentioned a weapon. RCMP say in all instances, the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
No one was harmed in any of the incidents.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 25 to 35 years old, between 5'6" and 6' tall, with a slim build. The suspect also has a brown goatee or beard and wore a black tuque, gloves, dark sunglasses and dark clothing.
RCMP say the suspect crossed back and forth between provinces and there is no pattern to the robbery order.
"It is very unusual. Usually we'll see suspects travel short distances, but to go across three provinces like that, it is very unusual," said Const. J.P. Michaud with the RCMP serious crimes branch.
The suspect is believed to be responsible for armed robberies in the following places:- Dec. 1, 2014 at 2:42 p.m. at a financial institution in Princeton, B.C.
Dec. 9, 2014 at 4:37 p.m. at a financial institution in Vernon, B.C.
Dec, 19, 2014 at 4:55 p.m. at a financial institution in High River, Alta.

Jan. 21, 2015 at 5:55 p.m. at a financial institution in Aldergrove, B.C.
RCMP say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and warn the public not to approach.
"We feel there will be somebody out there who will recognize who this individual is — it could be a neighbour, a co-worker, a friend or a relative," said Michaud.
